Hi Everyone,
For those of you who might need an introduction, my name is Jeff Rochon. I am an undergraduate student at Point Loma Nazarene University, in San Diego California. I developed this site when I was accepted to the study abroad program known as Semester At Sea to keep my family and friends informed as to my travels and experiences as I spent 110 days with 600 students, 80 Lifelong Learners, and 50 Faculty/Staff sailing around the world on a "Floating Campus" known as the M.V. Explorer. This unique program presented us with an opportunity traditional study abroad programs can't, the opportunity to experience more than one culture.
I will continue to maintain this site to allow family and friends to follow my future adventures and travel through my blogs and the images taken "thru my lens." This site will be a place for everyone to read about my experiences in my blog, allowing me to share my cultural exploration while I have limited phone service abroad.
Because of my experiences in 10 different countries, I have become addicted to traveling. I will be looking to take advantage of any opportunity put in front of me. So, it is just a matter of time before I am off on my next adventure.
Where shall I go next?

Equipment
I have two cameras I use to shoot my photos. The first is my trusty Canon Digital Rebel. I have two lenses for it, a typical 18-35mm lens, and a 75-200mm zoom lens. I also have an external flash for the Cannon. I have had it now for a couple of years and love its capabilities.
As long as I have been taking pictures, I have wanted to be able to take underwater photos. For Christmas 2009, I received a camera that I feel comfortable taking near/in water and on adventure hikes, an Olympus Stylus Tough 8000. While it is a "point and shoot" it has proven that with 12megapixels it can capture great pictures.
With the combination of the two cameras, I should be able to document my journeys quite well.
